I first fell in love with the world of wine almost 30 years ago.  At that time, I started my journey, which probably like yours, is a fun and continuous learning process.  My tastes and knowledge continued to develop, and I began collecting.

 

13 years ago, my wife Peggy (an interior designer) and I designed a new home for us with an architect, and then building in Flower Mound, Texas.  I designed and oversaw the construction of my first wine cellar in that home.  From there, I built a couple more, one in Santa Rosa, California and another in Dallas, Texas.  I also started helping friends with their cellars or ideas and designs for wine walls.  I found I not only had a passion for the design and function of wine storage and presentation, but more so, I truly enjoyed the process of working with clients to bring to life something new and unique, while integrating it with their own personal style and tastes.

 

 In 2019, I completed my Sommelier certification with The Court of Master Sommeliers, continuing my wine journey of learning and exploration. This past year, having retired from a successful corporate career in the healthcare & technology industries, I started New World Wine Designs with a commitment to bring wine cellar design and construction excellence into people's homes.

 

 At New World Wine Designs, we bring together the important technical design aspects of construction/remodeling and turnkey project delivery for building wine cellars or wine walls.  Additionally, we bring the aesthetic and stylistic components you would expect from an experienced interior designer, melded into one partner.  Add to this a depth of understanding about wine itself, how it is made, best cared for, aged, served and enjoyed, and we believe we have a unique set of qualifications and experiences to help you with your wine cellar or wine wall project.
